Jesus said to the lame pick up Your bed and walk, the man becomes healthy and carries the bed. (Bible Joh 5.1-18).
Note hereby also that the man must believe something before doing a thing like that!
The story is that an angel moved the water from the bath Betesda near the Sheepsgate in Jeruzalem with 5 collonades where a lot of ill people were laying waiting to be the first to get in the water after the angel they tell/believed moved the water and that way get healed if being the first.
You could say why has the angel -if it was an angel doing it- no other mercywork than put the water in motion so they had to run to be the first. For those who can run.
Angel or no angel we could ask this question.
But the answer to this is that apart from the question if this is the Way of GOD, that the necessary expression is needed we cannot skip manifestation of things of content of expression of the soul and all souls. So you need the necessary set up. Other people can help to name one.
Also is the cooperation of the participants needed and the lame who was healed has also his picture why things are as they are...
It needs embodyment Jesus had a position in the situation also towards the man to do it that way.
But when healed the difficulties start; 'You cannot carry something on Sabbath' then it gets worse; healing somebody on Sabbath is terrible...
Later Jesus sees him again in the temple and says 'Don't sin anymore so that not something worse comes over You'.
They wanted to kill Jesus for heaven sake and it gets worse when Jesus says that he and the FATHER works uptill now..
We read nowhere in the Bible that Jesus said 'Come back tomorrow because it is Sabbath today'.
There are variations in the situations where Jesus heals, he says to do something go somewhere takes dirt from the ground to put on eyes and let it wash out on a certain place, so it varies what in what situation.
