GOD always wants people to make effort to fulfil themselves.
So GOD'S policy is happiness through the participation of people themselves, so there is also the happy feeling of reaching something.
Men strives and GOD steers, adds His share and does not take over.
Only take over can be protecting.
But in the end GOD does not take over.
So as Jesus said also "Do You believe that I can heal You?".
And "Your faith healed You". Not the faith in healing but in Jesus presenting GOD and GOD being willing and able to do so.
There are occasions that one can ask a question to GOD, at certain point, after trying enough and necessaty not to wait any longer.
The apostles could not decide who the 12th apostle should be after Judas. And the Old Testament says that somebody will take his place.
So they prayed to GOD to point out the person out of two which they had chosen, it should be, because they could not decide. So after prayer they drew lots and the lot fall on Mattias.
Answers given by GOD are very specific and at the same time something left to do for people; they chose those two already. But also the answer can have something left to fill in precisely detail. Man do what man can do.
Bible Job 33.14 GOD speaks one or two manners but people don't notice, then He confirms it in a dream.
There are things that make you think of something...
So we need always REFLECTION what is this what is that, can I improve something, adjust at new situation and circumstances. The need to do things fulfilling your continuous topical picture.
And of course PRAYER, don't underestimate praising GOD speaking out in prayer and conversations your love for GOD, and pray for something, pray for others too GOD wants that participation.
Bible Isaias 59.16; "And He saw that there was no man, and He was astonished that there was no intercessor".
And the doing of good deeds wherever you can BENIFICENCE just be aware of it so you notice opportunities.
